marine avenue renovation
Camden, MAINE
2015-2016

Originally built in 1810, this three-bedroom Camden home was recently purchased by an out-of-state couple who had fallen in love with its quirky charm. The house had previously undergone several minor interior renovations over the years, and none of these alteration referenced or complemented each other. Thus, the clients wanted to redesign key aspects of the house to create an overall cohesive aesthetic. The 2,200-square-foot house's advanced age and less-than-ideal settling had resulted in out-of-level areas of ceilings and floors, so this would nee to be addressed as well. The project scope included a complete renovation of the primary bath, guest bath, powder room, living room (including new fireplace and mantel design) and den (new built-in bookshelves and entertainment center), plus a new full-height linen storage cabinet in the hallway outside the primary bath. A complete kitchen renovation and a new mudroom addition was also designed for an eventual "phase two" of the project.
