When this Rockport animal shelter began planning a full-scale renovation, the administration team began seeking charitable donations from local businesses (especially contractors and architects).  My employer at the time decided to contribute both design and construction services to the project, and I was given the opportunity to design a new play room for the shelter’s feline inhabitants.  Using a limited design palette of easily-washable materials, and inspired by my lifelong love of cats, I created an engaging habitat full of niches and perches to hide, spy, nap, jump and climb.
